Charles Hamilton Houston High School was founded in 1996 and began at School Without Walls Alternative High School.
Programs & Services
The community-based learning and social justice curriculum emphasizes critical thinking skills, self-awareness, and intense math and science instruction. The Citywide Adult Education Program serves students 18 years and older with classes in literacy, ESL, basic math, reading, English, GED, exam preparation, and the Constitution. Classes run in nine-week cycles. The Comprehensive Community Development Center provides career assessment and employment placement services. Students need 21 credits to graduation.

Credits Required to Graduate: 18
Other Requirements to Graduate: All state requirements for graduation including PE and other electives.
